Medical Equity

Medical equity refers to the fair and just access to quality medical care, services, and health outcomes for all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, geographic location, gender identity, disability, or other social determinants of health. It goes beyond equality—where everyone gets the same treatment—to equity, where care is tailored to address individuals’ unique needs and barriers to achieve comparable health outcomes.
